Combined, these four preventable health factors account for 50% – 70% of all healthcare costs in America. The bottom line is that a person’s voluntary behavior is the largest modifiable factor of individual health in the United States.

So how is this corrected? Eating healthier, participating in regular physical activity (sports, recreational aerobics, yard work, etc) and quitting smoking. Doing so means your overall odds of developing chronic diseases will decrease drastically. Then simply maintain these healthy lifestyle changes and you will likely live a long and healthy life.
